About

The Queen of Christmas returns with new takes on old classics as part of an Apple TV exclusive, Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special. Her renditions, collected from the companion variety show of the same name, find her tackling favorites like the jovial “Sleigh Ride” and the mellowed fireside ballads “Christmas Time Is Here” and “O Holy Night.” Always one to keep us on our toes, the legendary artist surprises with a funky, fun rendition of “Here Comes Santa Claus” with assists from Snoop Dogg and Jermaine Dupri, as well as an original and perfect ball of holiday pop in “O Santa!,” which features fellow powerhouse vocalists Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson. At every turn, she injects her diva-esque flourishes, transforming the familiar and the mundane into grand affairs of imagination. Carey's quintessential staple “All I Want for Christmas Is You” anchors the soundtrack—a reminder that she herself has become at least one reason for the season.
