About

My Kind of Broadway is a 1965 album by Frank Sinatra. It is a collection of songs from various musical, pieced together from various recording sessions over the previous four year. The album features songs from nine arrangers and composer, the most ever on a single Sinatra album. Allmusic review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine: “Pieced together from a variety of sessions and soundtrack, My Kind Of Broadway is an uneven record, featuring a handful of gems among a bunch of competent but undistinguished performance. Most of the songs– from “Luck Be a Lady” and “Hello, Dolly!” to “I’ll Only Miss Her When I THink of Her,” “They Can’t Take That Away From Me,” “Yesterdays” and “Nice Work If You Can Get It”– are classic, but the arrangements and performances frequently are nothing more than competent. When Sinatra deliver, as he does on the show-stopper “Luck Be a Lady,” the results are pretty spectacular, but the majority of the album is merely pleasant.” Track listing 01 - “Everybody Has the Right to Be Wrong!
