This late '80s album compiles familiar and previously unreleased recordings, all newly remixed.
On the 1987 LP & cassette, all tracks were newly remixed in stereo by Lawrence Wendelken & Jim Dickson. "Never Before" is in process/pseudo-stereo. "Eight Miles High" and "Why" use the original unreleased RCA recordings. "Triad", "It Happens Each Day", and "Lady Friend" contain parts and overdubs newly recorded by original band members.
On the 1989 CD release, 7 more tracks were added, newly remixed in stereo by Ken Robertson with the help of Roger McGuinn.
