About
NO HANDS is the second independent album from alternative rap duo Joey Valence & Brae. The title of this album is a double entendre playing on the concept of “no hands” meaning to do something effortlessly and skillfully that you don’t even need hand, but also doing so with no “hands” as in violence – indicated by JVB’s shirts in the album cover. Lyrically this album explores concepts from confidence, rebellion, violence, and authenticity. In an Instagram post, JVB adds some context to thi. “This album forces you to be confident in yourself and do things simply because they make you happy … building something on our own and talking our shiii while we do it. We make fun of people with false confidence and comend those who are genuine and free … love yourself, be genuine, and remember to not take yourself or life too seriously.“ .
