Lionel Bart is a young Londoner who, in a remarkably short space of time, has emerged as the most potent force in British popular music. In 1956 he joined forces with Tommy Steele and Mike Pratt, and this trio was responsible for the writing of nearly all the numbers with which Tommy first gained fame.
