About
Liner Notes: "Recorded at 30065 Morningview Drive, Malibu, California in an improvised jam session one November afternoon '93 with: Genesis P-Orridge (gristle box), Dwayne Rudolph Goettel (setup one - digital), cEvin Key (setup two - analog), Larry Thrasher (percussion), N. Ogre (vocal), Ken Hiwatt Marshall (engineer and fx), Chris Carter (gristle box design and build). Mixed by Ken Marshall '93. Reassembled vocal/mix 2002 by cEvin Key." An additional vocal pass may have been made by Genesis, though it is not noted on the packaging. The actual running time is 40:11, rather than the 40:13 listed on the outer case. This was a limited subscription-only release of 1000 copies available exclusively through Subconscious mailorder. Sections of this release were previously heard on the Psychic TV 'Electric Newspaper.Issue.Two' CD, Psychic TV's 'Electric Newspaper.Issue.Three' CD, Download's 'Charlie's Family' CD, and Download's 'The Eyes Of Stanley Pain' CD, all in different forms and edits. See the 'Guest Appeances' section and Download sections of this discography for details. SUB23b was a second pressing, also limited to 1000 copies, which was housed in a digipack with a different colour scheme (purple) and included some different photos in the liners. SUB23c has a green cover scheme, to distinguish itself from the previous pressing. Photos by cEvin Key, sleeve design and layout by Simon Paul and Scott Graham. The Process symbol was also mysteriously absent from the reissue cover art.
