Yes, sorrow soaks through both "No Other Baby," a 1958 skiffle track by the Vipers, and Ricky Nelson's “Lonesome Town." But the gloom is easily dispersed by the uplift and optimism in barnburners like Gene Vincent's hotwired "Blue Jean Bop," Little Richard's larynx-lacerating "Shake a Hand," and a Cajun-ized "Brown Eyed Handsome Man."
