Small Achievements is a Rock album by Ruby Fields, originally released in 2026. On Gatefold: 2 pressings tracked.
About
Five years after her chart-topping debut album, Ruby Fields chronicles half a decade of entwined hardship and hardiness in the Northern River. That includes flooding, a pandemic, and more personal forms of lo, as well as all the little wins she has witnessed while tending bar at the Billinudgel Hotel—as pictured on the cover of Small Achievements and inspiring its title. Fields opens right up across this record, recounting childhood memories of her aunt’s house in spoken word on the opening “Dunny” and calling out resident wildlife on “Muscle.” The grungy alt-rock feel of her past work stretches out, incorporating 1980s-style heartland rock (“92 Purebred”), twinkling bushland folk (“The Gums”), and soft-stepping indie pop (“Tacklebox”). .
