Ronnie Earl (born Ronald Horvath, March 10, 1953) is a guitarist of blues, jazz and American soul. His phrasing and elegant form and execution, felt, mixing the sound of the blues (mainly in the style of Chicago and Texas) with own improvisations of jazz. Knowing combine sweetness and explosiveness it is located as one of today 's great blues musicians. His career began in the seventies in Chicago. In 1980 he replaced Duke Robillard in Roomful of Blues group. After eight years with them, formed the Broadcasters to perfect a style of guitar itself halfway between Magic Sam and T-Bone Walker. Earl began to channel his most personal musical interests recording their first solo albums while still active in Roomful. His first recording (and germ of what would henceforth be his backing band, the Broadcasters) was Smokin' (1983), and it featured the voices of Kim Wilson and Sugar Ray Norcia. The following year, "Mr. Earl They call my" confirm that although these discs were still a secondary activity, the career of Ronnie Earl alone had already begun.
