About
Sommerabend is the third album by the German progressive rock band, Novalis, released in 1976. Following their second album, Carlo Karges left the band who went on tour without him as a quartet. In early 1976, Novalis recorded their third album with producer Achim Reichel. Reichel was partly involved in the compositions, Rale Oberpichler helped out as a choral singer. Shortly after the release of Sommerabend, Novalis found an additional singer in a newspaper advertisement in Fred Mühlböck. Brain released a CD version of the album in 1992, followed by Repertoire Records in 1998.
