About
It’s no surprise that ASG’s music has appeared in a grip of surf, skate, and snowboard videos since the band’s 2001 inception. The North Carolina stoner rockers’ thick riffs provide the perfect high-flying backdrop for X Games sports—or just cruising down the highway with the windows open. On their sixth album, vocalist Jason Shi’s droned melodies emerge from a swirling summertime haze on “Execution Thirst,” “Lightning Song,” and the hypnotic title track, pointing the way to another blissed-out, air-catching experience.
