The many flavors—or channels?—of funk connect this solid-and-then-some collection that reflects the New Orleans piano sage's evolution from hoodoo swamp necromancer ("Witchy Red") to stripped-down funkmeister alongside rapping Chili Pepper Anthony Kiedis ("Shut D Fonk Up"). He covers Sly Stone's celebratory "Thank You (Fallettin’ Me Be Mice Elf Again)" and launches into the P-Funk orbit with "Spaceship Relationship"—all with a Crescent City bounce.
