About
This Album was recorded in June 1972 at Brighton Dome. This is the Theatre of the Regency Palace. Parked outside was the Stones Mobile Studio and was used for the recording. The Floyd played at the Dome in January 1972. This was the first night of their UK Tour. 20th Jan to be precise. I was there. Tickets wer £4.00. The other thing of note was that this was probably the first ever performance of Dark Side. It was called Eclipse at that time. Roger introduced it with the words "This is our latest Masterpiece" The venue is small enough for them to play is proper Quadrophonic sound. But, around half way through, the PA went AWOL. After about 30 mins the roadies gor it fixed and the gig resumed. At the end Dave announced that they would be back later in the year to 'Play it again'. Hence the June Gig, the Recording Studio and the 'Bootleg' IT was shipped from Germany. My copy has been played a total of 10 times in the 36 years since I got it. .
