Notes from the original pressing. Later editions may differ.
Armed with a voice that falls somewhere between Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway, songwriting that combines beautiful, haunting melodies with sharp storytelling, and guitar playing that's blues influenced and rock sharpened, David has been searching for the truth in music. "The Bittersweet" is a more stripped-down version of his otherwise soulful sound. His first commercial release in several years, he invites us to join in and become part of his journey through the heart, chronicled in song.
