The Button-Down Mind Of Bob Newhart by Bob Newhart

The Button-Down Mind Of Bob Newhart is a Spoken Word album by Bob Newhart, originally released in 1960. On Gatefold: 41 pressings tracked, owned by 11 collectors.

About

With former ad copywriter Newhart cracking deadpan about all sorts of marketing during the era in which Mad Men was initially set, this double-GRAMMY®-winning comedy album sounds even more poignant now. He imagines Madison Avenue hyping presidential campaigns in Abe Lincoln’s day, explores air travel in the age of the Wright brothers, and examines baseball circa Abner Doubleday. He also adds Cold War routines about nuclear submarines and Nikita Khrushchev. Seeing absurdity everywhere, Newhart knew that it’s hip to be square.
