The Dio Years by Black Sabbath

The Dio Years is a Metal album by Black Sabbath, originally released in 2007. On Gatefold: 29 pressings tracked, owned by 7 collectors.

About

Ronnie James Dio recorded just four albums with Sabbath, but the operatic howler’s impact was huge. This anthology charts how he helped them ditch Ozzy-era doom for neoclassical speed lined with flashy fretwork (“Neon Knights”) and visceral headbangers inspired by the rawness of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (“The Mob Rules”). This album also unveils several new recordings, including the tormented “Ear In the Wall,” in which Tony Iommi drops one of the most brutally grinding riffs of the entire collection.
