"The Lover In Me" is the ninth studio album by Sheena Easton originally released on November 18, 1988 on MCA Records. It was reissued with four bonus mixes by Cherry Red Records in 2006. "The Lover In Me" was produced by Babyface, Angela Winbush, Jellybean Benitez, Prince, L.A. Reid, Kayo, David Leonard.The album was certified Gold for sales of more than 500, 000 copies. The album peaked at #44 on the Billboard 200 and #30 on the UK Albums Chart. The hit title track reached # 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, #5 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, #1 on the Hot Dance Singles Sales chart, and #15 on the UK Single Chart. The song, "Days Like This was chosen as the second single. It reached #35 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and #43 on the UK Single chart. The third single, "101" peaked at #2 on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart and #54 on the UK Single Chart. The albums' fourth and final international single, "No Deposit, No Return" did not reach the charts. The song, "Follow My Rainbow" was issued in New Zealand only, where it charted at #16.
