From the sleeve notes:
"Formed in London in 1974, Japan comprised David Sylvian (vocals), his brother Steve Jansen (drums), Richard Barbieri (keyboards) and Mick Karn (saxophone). A second guitarist, Rob Dean, then joined, and the band signed up with the German record company Ariola-Hansa. Japan had five UK hit singles with Ariola between 1981 and 1983, the most successful, 'I Second That Emotion', peaking at number 9.
This excellent collection includes all the Ariola hit singles, together with a selection of the best album tracks."
[Erratum]:
Track 6: Deviation (Netherlands 1979) (opens in a new tab) Although not noted, track 6 is the live version from the Live In Japan EP, recorded in March 1980.
Track 12: In-Vogue is printed as In Vogue
