About
Jane Perry Woodgate, then Crockford, formed the Mo-dettes in 1979, recruiting Ramona Carlier first then running the idea by Kate Korri, as the two waited in the Lisson Grove dole queue. Kate was to bring along June Miles-Kinston, completing the first line-up. Jane was to write 'White Mice' along with 'Masochistic Opposite','Kray Twins', 'Bedtime Stories','Satisfy' and'Foolish Girl'on the album. The entire band loathe the 'disco' version of White Mice on the album, loving the original single release on 'Mode' record. The album was originally released in 1980 by London Record, the group were not too impressed by the producer Roger Loma, who hated 'girl bands'. Great foresight London Records! .
