Garbage played their 13th European concert from their European 1996 tour at the Philipshalle, Düsseldorf on April 7, 1996.
The 50-minute, 11-song show was played during the “Osterrocknacht 1996”, organized by the famous “Rockpalast” German TV show, during which various bands like Cypress Hill, Sonic Youth and The Smashing Pumpkins were included in the line-up.
The full performance was broadcasted by the German TV channel WDR, and this broadcast is the source of many unofficial audio and video releases, some of them adding a short interview broadcasted after the concert.
This concert should not be mixed up with the show played by the band 4 months later at the Butzweiler Hof, Köln on August 17, 1996 during the 10th Bizarre Festival (both performances have the same identical setlist).
