Album notes

Discogs page for these notes (opens in a new tab)

This 14-track 1970 collection contains ten tracks from the stereo edition of the 1967 album "David Bowie", three previously unreleased outtakes and one B-side.
Of the four tracks not on the 1967 album, one of the outtakes is in stereo, the other three tracks are mono recordings electronically processed to provide a stereo effect.
The mono edition of this collection is a fold-down of the stereo tape, and therefore does not contain the true mono mixes available prior and/or since on other releases.
The 1973 Dutch reissue removes "When I Live My Dream" and replaces it with "The Laughing Gnome".
