Therapy is a Jazz album by The New Mastersounds, originally released in 2014. On Gatefold: 5 pressings tracked.

About

Staying true to their musical vision, The New Mastersounds once again celebrate classic R&B and jazz on Therapy. The British quartet’s ninth studio album finds their instrumental chops and compositional talents in top-flight form. Joe Tatton’s fleet-fingered touch on keyboards and Eddie Roberts’ limber guitar lines steal the show on tracks like “Old Man Noises,” “Morning Fly," and “WWIII (And How to Avoid It).” Crisp funk excursions (“Monday Meters”), simmering fusion numbers (“When It Rains…”), and after-midnight jazz pieces (“Detox”) display the band’s effortless chemistry as an ensemble. Guest vocals by Kim Dawson and Ryan Zoidis add spice to the soulful sonic blend.
