This is it by Jack Ingram

This is it is a Country album by Jack Ingram, originally released in 2007. On Gatefold: 4 pressings tracked.

About

Much like fellow Texan Steve Earle, Jack Ingram has long trod the fine line between country and rock. On This is It, his sixth studio album, he offers up a cover of Hinder’s cheating love song “Lips of an Angel,” as if to prove that even the Nickelback generation has a little ’billy in it. But the disc also boasts an Ingram-penned number that’s sure to make a perfect shout-along rock encore: “Love You,” in which the title verb replaces another four-letter word (“that mother-lovin’ truck,” and so forth). While Ingram also goes for more traditional uplift in the likes of the family saga “Measure of a Man,” he makes his biggest impression with his bite; check out “Great Divide,” about the mixed blessings of disappearing into small-town life. This is It isn’t a classic of the genre, but fans of Earle’s Guitar Town and Robert Earl Keen’s A Bigger Piece of Sky will recognize its kindred spirit.
