Time II is the fourth full-length album from Finnish melodic death metal band Wintersun. It is the long-anticipated sequel to their 2012 album Time I. Work began on the album in 2006, side-by-side with Time I. The albums were originally intended to be released as a single album titled Time, but work stalled for several year, leading to the release of the completed Time I in 2012. Work was stopped on Time II in 2014. Instead, Jari worked on The Forest Season, a four-song album, which he released in 2017. Eventually, recording and production of the album was crowdfunded through the "Time Package," a large collection of demo, remaster, instrumental track, and other files to be released alongside Time II. .
