James Horner composed more than 100 film scores, but it’s his music for James Cameron’s 1997 movie, <i>Titanic</i>, that he’ll be best-remembered for. And with good cause. Horner’s music, including the masterly use of Irish uilleann pipes, captures the atmosphere of the Belfast docks, life on board the doomed vessel, and the burgeoning but ultimately tragic love between Rose and Jack. Horner won the Oscar for Best Original Dramatic Score and shared the award for Best Original Song with co-writer Will Jennings for “My Heart Will Go On,” featuring Céline Dion. The song would go on to become one of the biggest-selling singles of all-time. This is an unforgettable score that matches the beauty and scale of Cameron’s unforgettable film.
