About
Deeds of Flesh – Trading Pieces is the debut full-length album by the American brutal death metal band Deeds of Flesh, released in 1996 through Repulse Records. Trading Pieces is a foundational album in brutal death metal and paved the way for Deeds of Flesh’s later, more refined technical work (e.g., Inbreeding the Anthropophagi, Path of the Weakening). It also helped establish Unique Leader Records, a label co-founded by Deeds of Flesh guitarist Erik Lindmark (RIP), as a major force in extreme metal.
