About
This outstanding 2008 soundtrack to <i>Twilight</i> proved that in the 21st century there is indeed a viable music market for pubescent bloodsuckers in love. The opening "Supermassive Black Hole" by Muse shows that just because you're dark and melancholic doesn't mean that you can't be stylishly funky. But it's the Black Ghosts who truly set the tone with the hip and haunting "Full Moon," a folky strum-n-bass number overflowing with elegant sweeping cellos and violas. Perry Farrell and Collective Soul's infectious contributions remind us that vampires like dancing too. Iron & Wine's "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" is easily the prettiest song here.
