About
Peter Tosh sounds almost radio-friendly on the top half of his final album for The Rolling Stones' label. The former Wailer digs in deep only after an opening dance sizzler, an R&B duet, and the grooving "Reggaemylitis." After that, "Oh Bumbo Klaat" and "Guide Me From My Friends" bubble and churn ominously, and the lengthy "Rastafari Is" hypnotizes while Tosh testifies. The Jamaican dream team of drummer Sly Dunbar and bassist Robbie Shakespeare exert total rhythmic control on this slinky slice of 1981 reggae.
