We Have Arrived is the debut studio album by American thrash metal band Dark Angel, released in March 1985. It is the only Dark Angel album to feature Jack Schwartz on drums, as Gene Hoglan replaced him as their drummer on subsequent albums. We Have Arrived has been reissued at least two times. In 1986, it was re-released by the French recording label Axe Killer in a 2,000 number limited edition. It was then re-released once again in 1997 by Axe Killer. The label attached to the plastic wrap says that this is a remastered edition, but there is no indication of it in the booklet. As of 2023, We Have Arrived is the only studio album in Dark Angel's discography that has yet to be available on digital streaming services. One of the songs from this album, "Merciless Death", was re-recorded for their next album Darkness Descends. Jack Schwartz is the drummer that played drums on this album (he was the band's drummer during the recording in August 1984)
He was removed from the band 3 months before the album was released.
Gene Hoglan then joined the band in December 1984. He got credited for drums too, but just as a new band member, he didn't actually play drums! The 2007 Axe Killer CD (opens in a new tab) wrongly states: "Featuring Gene Hoglan" (but that's not the only error with this CD)
On the first press (opens in a new tab) vinyl's back sleeve, there's no drummer photograph at all.
On later issues like the picture disk (opens in a new tab), the French (opens in a new tab), or the Brazilian (opens in a new tab) release, Gene Hoglan's photograph is available and Jack Schwartz is credited plainly in text: "Plays drums on album" without photograph.
The original artwork of the first press (opens in a new tab) by Sean Rodgers represents a man digging a grave, bringing up dead people and demons, it was released only in America with this artwork.
In the rest of the world like France (opens in a new tab), Greece (opens in a new tab) and Japan (opens in a new tab), obviously censored simply shows the band logo along with the album title over a black backround.
It is one of the two albums (this and "Darkness Descends") to feature Don Doty on vocals.

In 2007 Axe Killer attached a sticker on the CD (opens in a new tab) release stating that it was a "remastered" edition, although there was no indication of it in the booklet.
