On the forlorn "Stranded" and chilly "Weighted Mind," this Tennessee bluegrass prodigy's fingers race even faster than her thoughts, plucking dense melodies on her mandolin while her clear voice lingers over the simple dilemmas of everyday life. The guitar-and-harmonium ballad "Birthday," however, proves Hull can slow it down long enough to cut a no-good ex out of her dizzying orbit.
