About

Joanne Shaw Taylor is a British blues rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter. She was born on November 30, 1985, in Wednesbury, West Midland, England. Taylor began playing guitar at a young age and developed a strong affinity for blues music during her early teen. At the age of 16, she was discovered by Dave Stewart of Eurythmic, who invited her to tour with his supergroup D.U.P. across Europe. Taylor released her debut album, White Sugar, in 2009, establishing her as a prominent figure in contemporary blues rock. The album received critical acclaim and earned her the title of Best Female Vocalist at the British Blues Awards the same year. Over the year, she has released multiple studio albums and built an international reputation for her powerful guitar work and soulful vocal. .
