About
Post Malone appreciates a good brand. Over the course of “Wow.,” an almost-at-the-venue warm-up song about the way his life has changed since his career took off, he name-checks a few of his favorite things, including Texas rapper Lil’ Troy, LaCroix sparkling water, Mercedes-Benz and McLaren automobiles, Fall Out Boy, former NBA center Dikembe Mutombo, Lamborghini, and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. In the context of “Wow.,” these are either examples of top-tier performers or the spoils of top-tier performance. Their uniting factor is that they’ve left a mark on Posty, an artist in the midst of a charting streak so hot that he’s summed up his inspiration to record “Wow.” thusly: “Made another hit ’cause I got bored now.”
