About
Released in 1976, Zombie is one of Afrobeat firebrand Fela Kuti's most political musical statements. The infamous title track sparks into life like a ball of fire, with Tony Allen's polyrhythmic drumming and Fela's sharp sax playing powering a 12-minute jazz- and funk-influenced epic that peaks with a spirited attack on the Nigerian government's military tactics. That monster jam is ably flanked by "Mr. Follow Follow," a downbeat and reflective track that's anchored by menacing bass guitar and foreboding percussion lines.

This is the Zombie compilation, featuring the title track of the original "Zombie" album, plus "Monkey Banana" and "Everything Scatter", and sometimes also "Trouble Sleep".
Although many editions feature the original album's cover art, this Master Release is intentionally distinct from the original "Zombie" album and its reissues, Zombie.
