Biography
American comedian, musician, actor, and filmmaker born August 21st, 1990. He initially rose to internet fame on YouTube, posting videos playing witty and often provocative original comedy songs in his childhood bedroom that subsequently went viral. He's released three stand-up comedy specials: Words, Words, Words (2010), what. (2013), and Make Happy (2016), the third of which made him decide to stop performing for audiences due to anxiety. In 2018, he expanded into filmmaking, writing and directing his debut film Eighth Grade for A24. He returned to comedy in 2021 with his musical special Inside, made entirely by himself at his home in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. The film was critically-acclaimed upon release and was nominated for two Grammys; His song addressing his anxiety performing live, "All Eyes On Me", took home the Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
