Biography

F.R.eeze stands for "Forever Raw at Eeze"
Originally started rapping under the name "Powda" with friend "Seizure" and formed a group project called Demigodz. pressed 200 tapes in two colors before rebranding as "Mr. F.R.eeze". Seizure was brother of Detroit rapper "Skrapz" who was also part of 2 Krazy Devils, Halfbreed (W/ The R.O.C. aka SOL), & Level Jumpers.
He would soon drop "Mr." from his name that was also used on early promotional material for his upcoming solo on Virus Independant with groups Halfbeed & Level Jumpers called "The Raw Album" that would be pressed up in 1999 & later repressed in 2004.
Between those years he had also released 2 EP's under the name F.R.eeze called Beyond Spaced & Winter Gyrls (With one song parodying New Kids on the Block). He would later change his name to Dialtone & release a full LP titled "A 4 Track Mind" only using a 4 track player to produce & record the album.
Soon after when Virus Indie would disband, he changed his name to "Dial81" him & Skrapz would move to Genetic Soil Entertainment with a colorful cast of vocal & production talent with the Detroit scene. The label would disband after a few years & Dial81 would form a partnership with SuperiorBelly Records.
Since he has operated under the names of Blair French, Leslie Swisher, & I.Dial81 with local emcee Intricate Dialect.
Dial81 retired from Hip Hop after his Sweatshop Deluxxe series which would also feature the last known Level Jumpers tracks to ever be recorded & released with only Skrapz & Dial.
Dial primarily switches between names (Dial & Blair) for his releases, which are primarily his own unique style of music & instrumental production dominantly more popular in the European regions than the United States.
Dial81 would also produce the movie score & soundtrack for Documentary Detropia.
