The Village Wait in 1970, after which Gay & Terry left the band, who continued without them. Gay & Terry then formed The Woods Band in 1970, and after that band dissolved in 1971 briefly toured as members of Dr. Strangely Strange. They reverted to working as The Woods Band and finally as Gay & Terry Woods until 1980, when the couple split up. Gay went on to form Auto Da Fé with Trevor Knight in 1980, splitting up in 1989.
