Not to be confused with bass guitarist Jiří Matoušek.
Czech keyboardist, born September 20, 1942 in Prague, Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia.
He was first with Czech beat pioneer Pavel Sedláček in his band The Colour Images, then in a Beat band called "Rogers Band" and eventually joined The Matadors in August 1968. The same year, Matoušek and the band went to Munich, Germany to be accompanying band, who went to make a German version of the musical "Hair" in Munich.
This formation founded together with some other musicians the band Emergency in 1970, Matoušek being keyboarder and organist. He stayed with the band until 1973.
