Martin Griffiths

Martin Griffiths is a British singer and songwriter known for his dramatic and expressive voice on the first three albums of Scottish progressive rock band Beggars Opera: Act One (1970), Waters of Change (1971) and Pathfinder (1972, all Vertigo Records). He released four solo singles in Germany between 1976 and 1981. Later, he made guest appearances on albums by his son ’s bands Poor Genetic Material and Alias Eye. Alias Eye, along with Maxi Sator, collaborated with Griffiths on his first solo album The Beggar (2025).
