Biography
Percy Faith & His Orchestra was one of the most successful and iconic easy-listening orchestral acts of the 20th century. Led by Canadian-born bandleader and composer Percy Faith, the orchestra pioneered the "mood music" format. They came to define the sound of the 1950s and 1960s with lush string sections that softened the heavy brass popularised during the swing era.
