Biography
Swiss jazz drummer and educator, born April 12, 1939 in Zürich; died May 27, 2026. Professional musician since 1958. In 1972 he moved to Frankfurt/Main to join the Albert Mangelsdorff Quintet. In 1977 he went out on his own with his project, the Family of Percussion, a percussion-only quartet, along with Trilok Gurtu, Doug Hammond and Tom Nicholas.
