Biography

Pianist duo formed 1920s: A sun terrace in an Austrian holiday resort seems an unlikely spot for the birth of one of the world's most successful musical partnerships, yet this was the scene when the two met. Both were already established as soloists. Both perfectionists, they practiced for a year before attempting a public performance.
