Sierra Casady

American vocalist, guitarist, harpist and pianist, born in 1980 in Iowa. Her children's nickname was Rosie, one half of her later band CocoRosie.
Together with her sister Bianca Casady, she grew up as a child of an itinerant preacher and the family moved from one town to the other. In 2000, she moved to Paris, France to study sociology and linguistics.Some years later, her sister came for visit on a trip around the world. Eventually, both stayed together in Paris, and both founded CocoRosie in 2003.
