Biography
Avant-garde / improvisational group formed in 1997 in Bergen, Norway. The band is known for creating all of their music live on stage or in the studio without prior rehearsals, written compositions, or overdubs.
Supersilent was formed when Veslefrekk members Arve Henriksen (trumpet), Ståle Storløkken (keyboards), and Jarle Vespestad (drums) were joined by tape experimenter Helge Sten (aka Deathprod). After 5 albums, Vespestad departed from the group (although he appeared on later releases that were taken from older sessions).
Between 2010 and 2012, the trio performed live with John Paul Jones (of Led Zeppelin fame) on a few occasions.
