Ted Gaier

German musician, actor and director, born 1964 in Stuttgart.
Gaier grew up with his mother in Munich until 1971. Then he moved to his father to the city of Ulm, where he lived until the early 1980's. He moved to Hamburg in 1983, and went to a design school there. He co-founded Die Goldenen Zitronen in 1984 and was one of the early protagonists of the "Hamburger Schule", an independent music movement at the end of the 1980's in Hamburg. In 1987, he also became co-founder of the -label in Hamburg. Disregarding being musician for "Die Goldenen Zitronen", Gaier had a couple of music side projects in the past years, was active as video director, producer and as writer of scores for theatre productions.
He is son of Margit Czenki.
