Biography
Dutch mastering and lacquer cutting engineer at Bovema / EMI Studios (aka. ) since 1975. Born 15 Aug. 1953, Haarlem.
Lacquers cut by him since 1975 can be recognized by an etched "HL", e.g. -A//HL 32821-2-Y, where the first "H" stands for "Holland" and is not part of the ANV.
Please credit with Lacquer Cut At - Bovema / EMI Studios and
Lacquer Cut By André Leenders + ANV L
Please note: between 1961 and 1968, HL was allocated to an unknown, previous cutting engineer, so please credit releases with HL from that period to L.
André Leenders often scribed another signature: a scripted A with a large bow that appears as cP or cD or cT or cR - see image (opens in a new tab).
A) When on it's own (without HL), credit
Lacquer Cut By - André Leenders + ANV A
B) When in combination with HL on either side of a record, only use L as ANV.
