Brazilian singer/songwriter, born 27 January 1949, in Alagoas, Brazil. Djavan combines traditional Brazilian rhythms with popular music drawn from the Americas, Europe and Africa
Among his best-known songs are: "Sina", "Flor de Lis", "Lilás", "Pétala", "Se", "Nem um dia", "Serrado", "Eu Te Devoro", "Oceano", "Açaí", "Samurai" and "Meu bem querer".
He became one of the most important Brazilian artists of all time, releasing numerous hits across his nearly 30 albums in his career. Djavan also won four Latin Grammys in his 50-year career, which he celebrated in 2025.
