Biography

Norwegian mastering engineer, born March 21, 1949, who was active from March 1969 to September 1987. Worked for PolyGram at Rosenborg Studio and later at Roger Arnhoff Studio.
His vinyl lacquer cuts can be identified by "F" preceding the "710" that identifies Rosenborg Studio/Roger Arnhoff Studio in the runout string, or his etched initials "IF" or signature "Finsen" or "IFinsen".
Ivar Finsen passed on March 27, 2024.
