Biography
Visual artist, design director and educator born in 1941. Grammy award for Best Album cover Underground at the 11th Annual Grammy awards. Art director of Columbia Records, Atlantic Records, CTI Records and Epic Records. For five years he was a member of the. He has also been the Special Sections Design Director for New York Magazine. For two and a half years he worked with Milton Glaser Inc. Mr Mantel taught graphic design as an adjunct professor at The School of Visual Arts and has been a guest instructor at the Tyler School of Art and at Parsons. Richard is currently an adjunct professor at Cleveland State University. He was also known for being a member of the company AGI, during the 70s.
