Richard aka Dick Polak was a Dutch photographer. Born in Amsterdam on 1940-04-29. Died on 2025-04-08, having been married to fashion designer Edina Ronay since 1971. He'd moved to London (UK) in 1966 where he gained fame for his contributions to the sleeves of a number of Island Records artists in the early 1970s. He also photographed on film sets, e.g. those of Performance or A Clockwork Orange.
Do not confuse with Dutch painter and Mecano musician Dick Polak, born Dirk Polak.
