American lyricist, composer and editor.
He's best known for writing the lyrics to the songs "Body And Soul" and "Walkin' by the River".
Sour also composed music and lyrics for both film and theater, including the Walt Disney Productions animated feature Bambi. In 1965 Sour was elected the president of Broadcast Music Incorporated (BMI).
Sour and Don McCray together used the pseudonym Don Roberts for some songs, often including "Practice Makes Perfect".
Born October 31, 1905 in New York City, New York, USA.
Died March 1985 in Greenwich, Connecticut, USA.
